We might not be able to part the Red Sea or turn water into wine but all us has the capacity to perform smaller miracles. For those who don’t have the ability to focus sufficiently, or who are too impatient to work at it long enough, if the desire and determination exist and you practice one of the smaller miracles, you can at least get the reaction from people, “Oh, WOW!! How did you do that? inch
We start with the philosophy that thought, cloaked in desire, becomes a reality and that what the mind conceives, you can achieve. What this comes down to is that first you have to want something so badly that you can almost taste it. You have to eat it, sleep it, breathe it until it becomes your reality.
At this point, I will mention that you better be careful about wanting something so much because at some point, you will get it. There is an old saying that I believe all us has exploded up with, “Be careful what you would like because you will get it. inch
Miracles are performed by moving atoms and compounds to bring matter into being. By ordering those atoms and compounds you can stop something from manifesting or make it manifest. It takes a lot of energy and intense concentration but all us has the power to create miracles with visual images. acim
Paramahansa Yogananda, an Indian yogi, wrote about the law of miracles in his book, Autobiography of a Yogi. He said, “The actual form of the projection (whatever it be: a tree, a medicine, a human body) relies on the yogi’s wish and by his power of will and of visual images. inch
When i first experienced metaphysics, I read everything I could get my hands on. I was so interested with the various concepts I was learning about that we tried my hand at doing everything from stopping a torrential downpour long enough for me to get in and out of my car and go into and out of stores, to telling the universe that we had bills to pay and I needed x sum of money by a certain date, to raising people’s vibrations without them knowing that we was moving atoms and compounds to accomplish it.
It was this exciting time. During those early years, nearly four decades ago, there had been so much discussing the art of visual images that it was a no-brainer that my curiosity would lead me to research it. Every day, I would spend hrs training my mind to see something that I desired to occur and I would wait in eager anticipation for it to occur.
I soon realized that there were a few important components that must be included, in addition to having a strong desire to make it happen or stop it from happening. I also had to find it in my mind’s eye, in its entirety, and know with every fiber of my being that it would happen exactly as I had seen it.
I was having so much fun performing these minor miracles with just my mind, that we visualized everything I could think of just for the sheer pleasure of being able to accomplish the most challenging tasks.
One day I received a striking floral arrangement as a gift. It was in a beautiful delft blue ceramic pot and it looked and smelled mind-blowing. I loved it. While most people have a green thumb, I have always had a black thumb. As much as I love flowers and plants, they often die under my care.
After a few days, some of the flowers in this arrangement looked a bit wilted. I truly wanted to preserve them so i tried to see them being reconditioned to their former health.
Every day I would water the flowers and put my hands around them, imagining healing radiation doing them. Then i would eliminate the dead flowers and continue to see the remainder ones getting healthier.
I had told my friend about the experiment I was doing and we arranged to speak to one another once a day to track my progress.
Every day I would call her to tell her that the experiment was working on the cut flowers because some of them still looked beautiful and fresh. About fourteen days later, I accidentally handled one of the bottom flowers and learned that the reason they still looked so beautiful and fresh was because they were artificial.
While visual images might not work on healing artificial flowers, at least for those who have not yet reached yogi status, it does work on a multitude of other things.
For those who are eager to learn how to perform miracles, start with something easy, something that is within the realm of possibility, and have it be something you truly desire. See it unless you find it so clearly in your mind’s eye that you can almost feel the atoms and compounds being rearranged to make your wish come true. Then put the full force of your will behind it and expect it to occur and it could happen.
