Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa is quite essential. It’s amazing if you ask me that just 30 years back the eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, was rarely spoken about and there have been not many places you could go in a way to obtain treatment for anorexia nervosa.
Just few years back I was a senior high school graduate who’d moved abroad after graduating and was home for certainly one of my first visits. I’d spoken to my best friend, whom I hadn’t seen in a couple of years, and I asked her to meet up at well known restaurant that evening. I was so pleased to be able to see her and so anxious to inform her about my life in New York.
I walked in to the restaurant and viewed to your favorite table. There had been someone sitting there and I was disappointed but I kept searching for my friend. I walked through the whole restaurant and still could not find her. I went back toward well known table and as I got closer I could hardly believe my eyes; it had been my best friend sitting at our table. I did not recognize her because she was so thin that I did not know it had been her until I was close to the table.
It have been 2 years since we’d graduated and I hadn’t seen her in those two years but I wasn’t prepared for what I saw. My friend was an attractive brown eyed woman; about 5’5″ tall and never appeared to be in either category, heavy or thin. She was always healthy looking and did not even remotely resemble the person standing in front of me.
She could not need weighed more than 90 pounds and on her behalf 5’5″ frame she looked like her skin was just being stretched over her bones and when I hugged her too tightly, she’d break like glass.
My friend was experiencing anorexia nervosa and needed help. I wanted to obtain her help right that very minute but unfortunately, she wasn’t prepared to admit that she had a problem. I prayed she’d arrive at her senses quickly, before the deadly unwanted effects from that awful disorder had an opportunity to take her life. Treatment for anorexia nervosa came a couple of years later and just with time, too.
She was one of many lucky ones who suffered with this specific disorder and is alive today and the mother of two beautiful children because she got help.
